Bellator News: Bellator 18 finds a home

Bellator 18 will take place at the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, La on May 13th. Hector Lombard (25-2-1 MMA, 3-0 BFC) vs. Paulo Filho (19-1 MMA, 0-0 BFC) will headline the event in a non-title superfight. The Monroe Civic Center previously hosted Bellator 9. Bjorn Rebney (Founder & CEO of Bellator) had the following to say on the event:

“We are thrilled to be returning to Monroe for our May 13th event. The Monroe Civic Center, the City of Monroe, Mayor Mayo and Keep Punching Entertainment were tremendous partners for us in season one, and we’re looking forward to putting on another exceptional show to a packed house in one of the loudest, most exciting venues we visited last year.”

Quick Hit: This is great news. It was only a matter of time before they found a place to have this event. Bellator 9 was a packed house and I can only imagine that 5,500 fans will fill the seats this time as well.
