NFL kickers replaced by robots? We can dream

All of us have cursed out a kicker at one point for missing the kick that would have won the game for our favorite team. But it turns out, much to my dismay, a robot wouldn’t fare much better. Joe Nedney of the San Francisco 49ers recently outkicked Ziggy the kicking robot in a promotion for RoboGames.

Ziggy kicked a 45-yarder, but Nedney won with a 50-yarder that Ziggy couldn’t match….

So the human kickers are safe for now, but hopefully not for too much longer.
