UFC News: MGM Grand and UFC 116

The Nevada State Athletic Commission has officially approved UFC 116 for July 3 in Las Vegas. The event will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The fights between between Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin -a heavyweight title unification bout- Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Wanderlei Silva and Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski are all expected to be officially announced for this card.

The event will be the second one at the MGM Grand in a 5-week period, with UFC 114 (Rampage vs. Rashad) set for May 29.

Quick Hit: Vegas loves the UFC, and vice versa. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is always a great place to hold an event. The atmosphere that place produces is like none other. If you haven’t been a part of it I suggest you go.
