Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin have now signed on for their expected Heavyweight Title unification bout on July 3 at UFC 116. It was first reported by Franklin McNeil of ESPN.com on Thursday’s MMA Live program.
“It’s pretty much done,” Franklin said. “The UFC has not confirmed this right now so its not official but several sources have told me that both Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin have signed to complete this fight. Dana White said he wanted this fight to happen in July, it looks like its going to happen.”
Quick Hit: Well, as it says, it was expected. Lesnar looks to be back to 100%, or better if you believe him. This fight will be a great one, but probably short lived. I highly doubt this gets past the second round, if it even gets past the first. I can’t wait to see what happens. My first guess is Lesnar, but I’ll let you know when it comes time for the breakdown.
