DREAM News: Light Heavyweight Grand Prix cancelled

Sports Illustrated MMA insider, Josh Gross, is reporting that DREAM has cancelled their upcoming Light Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament. Gross posted the following on his twitter account:

“The Dream light heavyweight grand prix set for May 29 has been cancelled. Fighter reps were told Wednesday. Still working on the reason.”

A few minutes later he found that reason:

“Looks like the reason for the cancellation is an issue between Dream and its TV partner, TBS.”

Quick Hit: This is horrible news. That tournament was going to have great matchups in store for us. Looks like Mousasi, King Mo, Babalu, and others will have to wait a while longer before getting to fight for the Japanesse fans.
