UFC News: Forrest Griffin has surgery

According to a report from the Las Vegas Sun, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin has undergone a minor surgical procedure earlier this month to take care of the shoulder he injured in training that forced him out of Saturday’s UFC 114 event, according to a report from the Las Vegas Sun.

Griffin’s trainer, Jimmy Gifford, said in the report that the surgery will keep him out of action for 12 weeks and he’ll be able to return no earlier than late September. Depending on the UFC’s schedule though, Griffin’s could hold off until a November or December event.

Quick Hit: He must’ve injured it pretty bad to undergo surgery. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. He might not be the best fighter but he always brings it. Even when it’s smarter not to. Anderson Silva? I love how he fights so I hope he gets back in there soon.
