USC To Return Bush’s Heisman, Removes Murals

Incoming university president is making a strong statement announcing USC will return the 2005 Heisman Trophy won by stand out Tailback Reggie Bush.

BUSH WON THE HEISMAN IN 05 IN A CLOSE RACE OVER VINCE YOUNG

In a memorandum issued today he is also asking that the athletic department remove murals of Bush and former basketball star O.J Mayo.

Said Nikias in his memo: “The Trojan family honors and respects the USC sporting careers of those persons whose actions did not compromise their athletic program or the opportunities of future USC student-athletes. Accordingly, I have instructed the senior vice president for administration to remove athletic jerseys and murals displayed in recognition of O.J. Mayo and Reggie Bush by mid-August – before the incoming class of students moves on campus – from Heritage Hall, the Galen Center, and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The university will also return Mr. Bush’s 2005 Heisman Trophy to the Heisman Trophy Trust in August.”

It was also announced that the athletic director Mike Garret would be replaced by former USC quarterback Pat Haden.

This comes in the wake of devastating sanctions handed down by the NCAA after it was proven Bush and Mayo both violated NCAA rules by accepting improper benefits while enrolled at USC.

Thats not true. USC proved to be thoughtless and laxed with the running of their program. Their arrogant attitude led them to believe that they were above the law. Come on, the STAR of the team is on the cover of a freaking car magazine with a tricked out ride? No one talked or noticed? I live in Austin and I see nor hear about any football players flossing around like that unless they played some semi pro ball.
