Sports Nickel’s Introduction to NBA Pick One
Last year, as a contributor to a website inferior to Sports Nickel, I wrote daily columns as the site’s expert on the fantasy game, NBA Pick One, because I found NBA.com’s expert unqualified, a poet by trade, and incompetent. This basketball season, I will be Sports Nickel’s NBA Pick One expert.
Each day I will be posting my picks, recapping the pick for the day before, and showing you the expert’s pick and why he is wrong (usually) or right (rarely).

Carson Cistulli, NBA.com's Pick One Expert, is seen on the cover of his book... on poetry. Not the NBA.
NBA Pick One is a fantasy game on NBA.com where the premise is to score as many PRA points (points+rebounds+assists) in a single season while only picking one player per day, and using each player only once. Each rookie has a double bonus in which their totals are, obviously, doubled. It combines strategy, NBA knowledge, and most importantly, luck.
I would go back and tell you where I ranked at the conclusion of last season, but the website that I used to write for childishly and foolishly deleted all of my previous posts from their site. The funny thing is that if you used to Google the name of their site, one of my articles was the first one to appear. But that has nothing to do with this.
This year in NBA Pick One, they have added bonuses/unlocks that will aid a player in his quest to be ranked number one in the Pick One World. If the player you pick registers a triple-double (in points, rebounds, and assists) or if the non-rookie you chose registers a PRA of 60 or higher, you will be able to choose a player you have already chosen in the past. You cannot save your bonus for a player that you haven’t used yet. Additionally, if on any week (Monday to Sunday) you score 300 PRA or higher, you will also receive the same bonus. If your player registers a triple-double and scores 60 PRA on higher on the same day, you only get ONE bonus. Players can only be unlocked once.
Without further ado, here is the link to the Sports Nickel league for the 2010-2011 season. All are encouraged to join and talk some smack!
Good luck, play well.

At least the NBA.com expert gets his picks in on time.
