My Pick from Last Night – Andrei Kirilenko – Jazz
Small slate of games calls for a small slate of Pick One points. On a night where the highest amount of P1P was 39 from LeBron, AK47 notched me 20 which is right around his average. I’m not going to complain about it since 21% (at least) of Pick Oners had him to.
I am ranked 1,903rd and am in the 92nd percentile.
NBA.com’s Expert Pick for Tonight – Thaddeus Young – 76ers
“Of the best players still left on the board, Toronto’s starting point guard Jose Calderon stands out at the top of list, and has been playing tremendously in the past couple games. But, something in my gut – that sports intuition we all have, or like to think we have – says he is due for a come-back-to-Earth game. Therefore, I turn my attentions to another worthy player that is leading the way as a hot pick tonight. Thaddeus Young comes off the bench for a respectable Sixers team that is on the rise, and he makes the most out of his 26 minutes a game. He averages 18.6 PRAs a game, which is great for a bench guy and great to still have available to us at this stage. Since the break, he has been playing 24.3 PRA basketball to help the team get to .500 as they go into this game against the Timberwolves. Playing at home against a team that is in the running for the number one overall pick in the draft, Young has a chance to continue his solid play.”
My Pick for Tonight – Wesley Johnson – Timberwolves
I’ll make it blunt as I often do – the Wolves and 76ers both suck. They give up tons of points and are barely able to score any of their own – the only reason they do being because they give up points so fast, creating more possessions per game. Needless to say, this game is going to be full of not-defense and Pick One Points.
I like taking the gamble on Wesley Johnson tonight. Johnson is averaging 34.5 minutes per game since the All-Star break.
With his rookie double bonus, I am hoping for 60 tonight, putting the expert even further behind me.

Tim,
Be careful, according to ESPN players news :
- Johnson (food poisoning or flu) missed Friday's shootaround and is questionable to play against Philadelphia ;
- Johnson (illness) will not start Friday against the 76ers, the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports.
