[VIDEO] Maurico “Shogun” Rua’s kick on Sports Science

ESPN’s Sports Science had the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, stop by their lab this week ahead of his UFC 128 showdown with Jon Jones to show off the power he possesses in his hands and feet. Host John Brenkus tested Rua’s punching power and kicking power. I saw this and was amazed at the power of his kick. At 2749 lbs. of force, Shogun’s 39 mile an hour kick was the single hardest strike ever recorded in the Sports Science lab. Shogun’s punch registered at 1169 lbs of force as well. Not bad at all, but that kick is ridiculous. Check it out:
