NFL Week 2 predictions and odds
Week one in the NFL offered up a few surprises for anyone that made a bet. Cleveland almost beating Philadelphia may have been the biggest shock, but there were definitely a few others, as well. I think week two offers a few decent picks, based on the current odds. If you want to see all of the odds, then Click to view odds. Houston is currently -7 against Jacksonville, and while the Jaguars have played them close recently, Houston looks like one of the top teams in the league, while the Jaguars look like the Jaguars.
Maybe the best bet of the week is the Chargers only being six point favorites against the Titans. I don’t get it – at all. San Diego looked fairly strong, while the Titans didn’t appear to have much going on. This might not be the year the Chargers go to the Superbowl — yet again — but they should always be a strong contender with Phillip Rivers taking the snaps. Hard to say that for Jake Locker and the Titans. Locker is still an unproven commodity, and it may be a while before I’d feel comfortable picking them over a perennial division winner.
The Ravens looked impressive on Monday night, with Joe Flacco and the team’s new no-huddle offense clicking and firing on all cylinders. They’re only +2.5 against the Eagles, but they should handle that spread easily. The Eagles are getting points on their roster alone, but their offense didn’t look sharp at all.
