Founders:
Brian Guerra has been covering sports in some capacity for the last 10 years, including high school, collegiate and professional. He’s covered two Final Fours, a few college bowl games and a NBA championship season.
R. K. Menn has been following MMA since 1998. He has also trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He tries to catch any and all MMA events whenever possible. You can find his opinions on pretty much any and all sports.
Gurus:
James has spent most of his life trying to learn the game of poker, only to realize that it is a game that can never be mastered. But it can be enjoyed.
Authors:
Matt has edited and written for a variety of printed and online publications. He has covered a range of sports for several years, including major league baseball, NFL and NCAA football, and NCAA basketball. Matt is an avid fan and analyst who particularly enjoys the historical and statistical aspects of sport.
David can and will argue any sports topic, but Football, basketball and MMA are his favorite sports.
Zach is a writer and editor who covers a wide array of sports both traditional and non-traditional. He was formerly the managing editor of Informative Sports before joining Sports Nickel. Specializing in global sports, Zach has been covering events such as the Tour de France, Grand Slam tennis and the World Cup for various publications since 2006.
Marcos is a sports fanatic who enjoy’s writing because it feeds his ego. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Marcos regularly attends local sporting events along with indulging in the local night life.

Jason is a true Austinite who loves baseball, football, the Longhorns, the Cowboys and the Texas Rangers.
Dan is a big fan of Wisconsin sports and the 2010-2011 NHL season will be the first for me as a fan of an NHL team. As he said before the playoffs – he’s going with the Blackhawks. He follows mainly MLB, NFL, NBA and NASCAR – but loves most sports.
João is an European (Portugal) sports fan who mostly follows MMA, Basketball and Soccer. He has also been training MMA (Muay Thai and BJJ) for 5 years now. Other interests include politics, economics, history and movies.
RIch was a writer for Informative Sports who mainly covers the historical and analytical aspects of MLB. He’s a fan of all sports, but really loves the MLB due to it’s great history and statistical nature.
Rob Kelley has been covering the Miami Heat since well before the inception of “Heat Three Kings” and looks forward to writing for Sportsnickel as the Heat work their way back to the NBA Championship. Kelley is quite confident that no team will be able to stop LeBron, D-Wade and Bosh for the foreseeable future.
